That’s right! New Deal’s first foray into international distribution brings our craft spirits to the lovely Canucks in Calgary, Alberta. At our Tasting Room in Portland, we’ve had the pleasure to meet many Canadians from Calgary. They were so persistent in their requests to import New Deal spirits to Canada that we partnered with Vine Arts Wine & Spirits in Calgary to stock restaurants and bars in Alberta. Any East Coast New Deal fans out there? We’re happy to announce that we have partnered with Western Hemisphere Spirits to bring New Deal spirits to Vermont. Imbibers in the great state of Vermont share similar tastes with their compatriots in Oregon. They can’t seem to get enough of the DIY, craft-distilled, artisanal, small-batch, organic goodness that Oregon distilleries are famous for producing. While our complete line of products is not available at all stores, any New Deal libation can be special ordered through the Vermont Department of Liquor Retail. We have been on the hunt as well! We are in the process of expanding our offerings in Washington, especially in the Southwest Washington/Vancouver area. We work with Pilchuck Distributors to stock liquor stores, bars and restaurants in all Washington counties except four in Southwest Washington: Klickitat, Cowlitz, Skamania and Clark counties. These four counties are supplied by C. Stein Distributing, based in Vancouver, WA. If you are located outside of Southwest Washington and would like to carry or serve New Deal spirits at your establishment, please contact Vita Lavrentyev at vlavrentyev@pilchuckdist.com. 1.5 oz Hot Monkey Vodka
1.5 oz fresh lime juice
1.5 oz simple syrup
1 oz fresh pink grapefruit juice
1 sugar rimmed glass

Shaken with ice and served up in a martini glass

Spicy Thai Martini

Muddle 3 basil leaves
Add 0.5 oz Ginger Liqueur
0.5 oz Hot Monkey spicy vodka
1 oz New Deal vodka
1 oz Coco Lopez coconut milk
0.5 oz pineapple juice

Shake with ice, strain and serve up in a martini glass.

Garnish with a basil leaf.

White Wine Sangria

1 bottle Chardonnay
4 oz Ginger Liqueur
4 oz lemoncello
1 nectarine or 2 plums

Cube and muddle fruit then top with all ingredients.

Best if made 6-8 hours ahead but not required.

When ready to serve add 10 oz chilled club soda.

Combine 1.5 oz Portland Dry Gin – Recipe 33
0.5 oz Ginger Liqueur
*1 oz blueberry puree
2 oz peach juice

Shake with ice and strain into a rocks glass. Serve on ice with a lemon garnish.

*Blueberry Puree- In a blender add one 12 oz bag frozen blueberries (thawed), 0.5 cup sugar, and 0.25 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
