Enjoy a slow Sunday brunch with our gingery take on the Screwdriver.

Mix ingredients together and pour over ice in an 8 oz glass. Garnish with an orange wedge.

The Moreland Flip

Named after a Southeast Portland neighborhood, this drink embodies Portland’s cocktail culture. Whiskey is king in this town and so is experimentation: bartenders have certainly embraced the classics and tried to improve upon or duplicate them a million times over. We love the frothiness of this drink, and our New Deal Ginger Liqueur has a perfect bite that still allows the spice of the rye whiskey to reveal itself.

  • 1 1/2 oz Rye Whiskey
  • 1 oz New Deal Ginger Liqueur
  • 3 Dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters
  • 1 egg (yolk and white)
  • 1/2 tbsp powdered sugar

Pour ingredients into mixing glass and add one small ice cube. Shake hard until you can’t hear the ice cube rattling anymore. Strain contents into coupe. Lightly dust nutmeg over the top of the drink. Make a thin orange twist and drag the twist through sugar to get a light coating. Wrap the orange twist around a spike and rest on the edge of the drink.
